Hours: Full Time
Salary: $27 to $29 per hour
JOB SUMMARY
Mother Nation is an Indigenous led non-profit organization offering culturally informed healing services, mobile advocacy, mentorship, homeless, and homelessness prevention case management and support to MMIWP families unmet needs. Our services celebrate and inspire the success of Native American women. Mother Nation services are custom designed to honor the beauty and strength of Native women, with traditional practices, teachings and values built on the ancestral strength of each participant. Mother Nation is committed to always provide culturally based traditional teachings throughout all service areas.
Mother Nation is active in supporting local grassroots leadership such as Missing and Murdered Indigenous People, Sister Native Homeless Providers, Tribes and Non-Native agencies to build unity in providing safety to Indigenous women and homeless families. Our goals are to ensure healing and wellness with cultural resilience offering quality service to change the dynamics of Native women and families from the impacts of historical and intergenerational trauma. Primary services are to stop the violence against Native women through culturally informed healing services, mobile advocacy and homeless emergency support.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high-level executive administrative support to the CEO/Founder with efficiency accomplishing key tasks and organizational initiatives. Responsibility will be to keep the schedule and communications organized and prioritized. This position will join the administrative team to ensure activities at Mother Nation’s remain in a trauma informed care environment founded on traditional teachings and practices.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide Executive Administrative assistance such as writing/editing emails, drafting memos, and preparing communications
· Organize and schedule CEO calendar on weekly basis or as needed
· Create an annual task list of priorities for Mother Nation overall organization.
· Maintain north office supplies, cultural supplies and record incoming/outgoing mail
· Assist in preparing Board of Directors packets, minutes, and filing
· Work in concert with Administrative Assistant in coordinating Staff Talking Circles, Retreats, Trainings, and site visits
· Actively participate in Mother Nation events, including pow wows, healing the spirit gathering, and other events
· Coordinate CEO travel and speaking engagements travel expenses, including Board and Management Team Travel as needed.
· Coordinate vending information booth for all Annual Tribal Gatherings
· Take initiative to prioritize CEO email task list weekly
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate degree or two years consecutive work experience in a non-profit Native organization offering social services, gender-based violence, and homeless or similar services
· Strong oral and written communication skills;
· Ability to be flexible, adapt to multi tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision;
· Knowledge of Mother Nation services and vision
· Sensitivity to the cultural integrity of Mother Nation clients and ability to maintain confidentiality
· Problem-solving and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in 2010 Microsoft Office Suite
· Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care and/or multi-abuse trauma
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Indigenous Cultural or traditional knowledge/background
· Knowledge of general office procedures
· Dependable transportation with valid Washington State Driver’s License
· At least two years of experience in office coordination within a social services agency/organization working with Native American/Alaskan Native community
· Team player with great initiative
